With crews that are qualified to handle masonry, carpentry, sheetrock, tile work, siding, and roofing, we have the flexibility to handle many different types of remodeling work in a timely manner. Like us, our subcontractors have been in business locally for many years and are both reliable and competent.

In addition, we frequently collaborate with a number of outstanding architects in the area and can easily refer you to an architect if needed. We also do our own in-house design work and can create our own plans for residential additions and remodeling work.

Past commercial jobs have ranged from a bowling alley complex to minor remodeling work in local malls. We have customized numerous offices in various industrial parks and businesses, as well as completed major remodeling work for J.C. Penney in the Freehold Raceway Mall.

We are also experienced in insurance damage estimates, as well as the handling of fire restoration jobs and other damage restoration work.

Additionally, we assemble low-cost, quick build ECO homes, like these. Please contact us to learn more.

We have the capability to handle any size job. Please feel free to contact us for assistance in planning your next construction project.

Finally, Martin Additions and Remodeling also offers personalized construction management services for both commercial and residential customers. With nearly 40 years of construction experience, owner William Martin, Jr, is available to manage the entire process from the conceptual stage right through to the final completion on a timely and economical basis. During early planning phases of the project preliminary cost estimating and value engineering are provided, and, with our guidance, the appropriate construction methods and scheduling will be identified and broken into logical, specific steps for you. This includes the selection and coordination of qualified subcontractors. Our primary goals are to track and control costs to meet your budget and to oversee tradesmen to satisfy your deadline requirements.

William Martin, Sr.

Owner William Martin, Jr. comes from a long history of building. His father, William Martin, Sr., gave his full support when Martin, Jr. founded Martin Construction Company in 1972 (later renamed Martin Realty Development, Inc. and also known as Martin Additions and Remodeling).

Martin, Sr. learned to be an electrician in the Navy during WWII and ran his own painting/carpentry business after the war. He later became a carpentry subcontractor for remodeling project firms in Northern and Central NJ. Trained in construction by his own father, James, who was a mason, and his uncle, Charlie, who was a carpenter, Martin, Sr. passed the trade down to his son.

Martin, Jr. started Martin Construction Company right out of college, and originally the father-son team built homes for sale. Eventually Martin Realty, which was formed in 1974, branched into remodeling, which is still its main focus today.

An avid golfer, Martin, Jr. has been a member of Spring Lake Golf Club since 1994, serving on the Green and Building Ad-Hoc Committees. He served on the Millstone Township Zoning Board in 1994-1996, was on the Freehold Rotary Club Board of Directors and Chairman of Interact (high school groups) in 1992-1995, and was President of the National Association Remodeling Industry, Central Jersey Chapter, in 1985 (winning Contractor of the Year awards in 1987, 1988 and 1989 and on the Board of Directors in 1987-1989).

He graduated from Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., in 1972 with a B.S. in Building Construction from the School of Architecture. Martin, Jr. is married with three grown children and four grandchildren.
